Fields of action
Family-friendly and family-oriented action is a focus of municipal work. Cities, districts and municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia are launching numerous innovative ideas and support services for local families. These take into account the diversity of families and their different needs.
State prize "Family community 2024"
"We live diversity" - under this motto, the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Family Affairs has for the first time awarded a state prize in 2024 for municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia that are particularly committed to meeting the needs of families. The winning municipalities will each receive the award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, at a festive awards ceremony in December.
