The company Wildling Shoes GmbH is based in Engelskirchen and its employees work from anywhere in Germany and sometimes even from abroad. To make this work, the company relies on various digital tools.

Employee Sascha Masloch, responsible for logistics and IT, names four aspects that need to be considered:

  • External advice on data protection
There are many good ways to network online. It makes sense to seek external advice to ensure that you are safe when it comes to data protection issues.
  • Create technology
Certain requirements must be met for mobile working to work. It is important that all employees are equipped with a laptop that works with all programs wherever they are.
  • Communication tools
In addition to telephone and e-mail, there are other options for internal communication that facilitate mobile working. Instant messaging services are helpful. All participants can communicate with each other in a chat and receive quick and uncomplicated answers. Video chat formats are also available for face-to-face communication.
  • Project management tools
Good and effective collaboration requires that all employees in their teams and projects are always up to date. With modern project management tools, projects can not only be planned and implemented in a structured and transparent manner: Task allocations, project goals and deadlines, current minutes and project plans can all be viewed and edited online. Cloud-based file editing, in which several people can edit documents, is also helpful.
