The NRW Ministry of Family Affairs is making it easier for parents and families to access the Familienportal.NRW in many languages. With immediate effect, the content is now also available in English, French, Polish, Italian, Turkish, Romanian and Ukrainian in addition to German.
One click to the native language
Family and Integration Minister Josefine Paul: "With the translation into seven other languages, we are closing a gap and taking a big step towards making the service accessible to all families in North Rhine-Westphalia."
On the Familienportal.NRW information, offers and family-political achievements are bundled. The Internet platform is the first point of contact in NRW for families and those who want to become families. Parents can get easy and quick access to child- and family-related services there, as well as numerous offers and lots of useful information to help them find their way through the jungle of authorities.
The multilingual extension allows families with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds to access a wide range of information tailored to their specific needs. The desired language can be selected with a simple click at the top left of the menu.
The language selection reflects demand in North Rhine-Westphalia and is based on experience from other multilingual offerings.
