Compatibility progress index
Measuring family friendliness
The Compatibility Progress Index supports companies in recording progress and developing a family-conscious corporate culture.
Many companies are already on the way to a sustainable and family-conscious HR policy: With the online tool "Progress Index Compatibility" from "Success Factor Family", you can record your progress in HR policy and find out how you compare to other companies in your industry in the evaluation. Those responsible can also identify areas where there is potential for development. They also receive tailored recommendations for further development.
Family friendliness in a sector comparison
The Compatibility Progress Index is part of the "Success Factor Family" corporate program of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. It was developed together with companies, the Federal Association of Personnel Managers (BPM) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK).
Companies that commit to the guidelines of the Progress Index receive the "Compatibility Progress Index" participation seal and can use it for their communication. In doing so, they ensure that the aspect of compatibility is reflected in the principles of their company. In concrete terms, this means, for example, designing working conditions in such a way that they take into account the interests of both management and employees. Up to now, management has often rated family-friendliness higher than the staff themselves. This is often due to the fact that existing work-life balance offers are not communicated transparently or even fail to meet the needs of employees.
The Progress Index helps you to design and communicate your work-life balance offers more accurately. Registered companies can enter their data on key figures such as economic sector, field of activity, number of employees and age structure. A total of twelve key figures make your company's family-friendliness not only measurable but also comparable. This allows you to better assess where you stand in a Germany-wide industry comparison. The data is evaluated anonymously and used for research and communication purposes.
Measures for a family-friendly HR policy not only demonstrably increase motivation, satisfaction and productivity in the company, but also increase the attractiveness of a company. Highly qualified personnel in particular are specifically looking for companies that can offer them not only an attractive workplace, but also a good work-life balance. The topic of family-conscious corporate culture is therefore becoming increasingly important in internal and external corporate communications.
